The Five Lenses I Use

Every review looks at your work through the same five lenses:1. Symbol Logic

Each point is flagged Green (strong), Amber (may feel shallow), Red (fix before launch),

Why The Noh Lens

Refunds and delivery timelines

Each review is a custom, time-based creative advisory service.Delivery timelines begin after material confirmation, not immediately after payment."Material confirmation" means that payment has been received, required materials have been
submitted, and the submission is within the selected package scope.Typical delivery timelines:

How it works

1. Choose a package

Start with a Steam / Concept Cultural QA, or request a larger review or custom quote.

2. Submit your materials

Use the intake form to submit excerpts, summaries, redacted documents, visual references, names, terms, or concept notes.For confidential or unreleased projects, please avoid sending full scripts or full production documents unless we have agreed on scope and handling first.

3. Structured analysis (human-led, AI-assisted)

AI-assisted steps help organize your materials, compare patterns, surface inconsistencies, and stress-test names, symbols, and worldbuilding logic. This structures and speeds up the review — it does not make the cultural call.

4. Human cultural review

Every cultural interpretation and final recommendation is made by a human reviewer with a Japanese cultural background and a Noh-informed perspective. AI is disciplined input; the judgment is human.

5. Receive your PDF report

You receive a clear, practical review with risks, notes, and recommended changes.Larger and Custom reviews may include follow-up rounds where agreed in the quote.

The Noh Lens uses a structured human + AI-assisted workflow to review limited, pre-public Japan-inspired creative materials — Steam pages, concept summaries, character and place names,
screenshots, and short trailers.AI is used to organize references, compare patterns, surface inconsistencies, and stress-test names, symbols, and worldbuilding logic. It is a tool, not the reviewer. The cultural interpretation, the Noh-informed reading, and every final recommendation are human-led.

What to send

For the standard Steam / Concept Cultural QA, please submit only limited pre-public materials: short summaries, store-page or pitch text, selected names and terms, a few screenshots, and short trailers. Please don't submit full scripts, unreleased core IP, confidential pitch decks, or large internal documents through the standard form.

How your materials are handled

Submitted materials are not used by The Noh Lens to train AI models. For AI-assisted steps, I use business- or enterprise-oriented AI services selected for client data protection; under the enterprise settings I use, submitted prompts and outputs are not used to train foundation models. Submitted materials are deleted within 30 days after delivery unless otherwise agreed. Anonymized findings are used as portfolio samples only with your explicit permission.

For highly confidential work

Unreleased core IP, full scripts, and sensitive studio materials are handled through a Custom Studio workflow, with NDA, stricter data handling, and human-only / no-external-AI review available on request.

FAQ

Do you guarantee authenticity?

No.This review provides cultural and creative feedback from one Japanese cultural perspective. It does not certify authenticity, guarantee audience reception, or represent all Japanese people.The goal is to reduce shallow, stereotypical, or culturally confused representations and suggest deeper creative directions.

Is this “culture policing”?

No.The Noh Lens is not about declaring what creators are allowed to make.It is a second cultural lens for creators who want their Japan-inspired work to feel more thoughtful, nuanced, and grounded.

Do you teach Noh?

Not through this service.The Noh Lens is not a Noh performance training service. It translates selected Noh-related aesthetic ideas — such as Ma, Jo-ha-kyu, Yugen, Kata, masks, silence, and symbolic movement — into practical creative feedback for games, films, stories, and worldbuilding.
